Tuesday, April 10th

Tuesday, had three observers on a crystal clear night, Marie, Jean and Bruce.  Two owls were seen in the nest cavity, the fledgling and the adult we've been calling Trident because of its vertical forehead stripes.

Both owls flew out one after another less than a few seconds apart.  The bird in focus is the fledgling.

Trident, who we think is the mother in front.

The fledgling.

Fledgling on left, Trident on left.

A stretch.  The owls stayed near their cavity for about ten minutes before going...

One by one they go across the drive.

Trident is the only one we can find across the drive, who was calling for the others before flying off.  We can hear an owl in the distance, go to find it but there is no sign of them and we call it a night.
